Requirements Overview
PTMS is the most widely used property tax software by corporate tax departments. There are currently two versions of PTMS: Visual FoxPro (VFP) front-end and back-end; VFP front-end, SQL Server back-end. The periodic update required the client to log on to the TCI client FTP site, download the update zip file, extract the zipped files and run the update. The procedure generated hundreds of support calls because of its manual nature and element of human error. KBLC was contracted to automate the update process to virtually eliminate human error and need for support.
